Katie Price Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

Westminster College senior pitcher Katie Price (Ashland, Mo. / Southern Boone) has been named to the CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) Academic All-District First Team for the second time in her career. 

Price, who is majoring in Mathematics, Economics, and Spanish, was also named Academic All-District in 2018 after finishing the season with a 2.20 ERA, 122 strikeouts, and a school-record 14 wins and earning SLIAC Pitcher of the Year honors. She also has been named All-Conference and Academic All-Conference twice in her career. She currently has the third-most wins (27), third-lowest ERA (2.98), second-most shutouts (nine), and fifth-most strikeouts (210) in program history. Price has also excelled as a hitter, batting .333 with 16 doubles, 55 RBI, and 91 hits in her career.

The Academic All-District Team presented by CoSIDA recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances both athletically and in the classroom. To be nominated a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore and a starter or key contributor with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at their current institution.

Honorees selected first-team Academic All-District will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-America honorees will be announced from June 8-11.
