FULTON, Mo. - In looking to win its sixth-straight St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament title, Westminster men's soccer faces a challenging schedule for the 2018 season.
The team opens with an exhibition contest against NCAA Division II member Drury in Springfield, Mo., on August 26.
The team officialy opens up the season with a Friday matchup against North Central in Chicago on August 31, and will travel to face Lake Forest on Sunday, Sept. 2. The team rounds up the road trip with a match at Knox on Friday, Sept. 7.
Westminster opens at home on Sunday, Sept. 9 for a 7 p.m. match against Illinois College. They take a week off before playing Wartburg at home on Sept. 16.
The squad then travels to Central in Iowa on Sept. 18 before returning home for a Friday night matchup against NCAA Division III powerhouse Wisconsin-Whitewater. Westminster plays its final nonconference match Sept. 23 at Simpson.
SLIAC play opens Sept. 29 on the road against Spalding. The remaining road games for conference play include Oct. 13 at MacMurray, Oct. 17 at Fontbonne, and Oct. 20 at Greenville.
Westminster plays five home conference games, beginning with Webster on Oct. 3 and followed by Eureka on Oct. 6, Iowa Wesleyan on Oct. 9, Principia on Oct. 23, and Blackburn on Oct. 27.
The SLIAC Tournament is set for Nov. 1 and 3 with host sites determined by the top seeds.
